President Bola Tinubu will today, Monday February 26, 2024, inaugurate the Geometric Power plant in cited in Aba, Abia State.
It was learnt, that the Engineers activated Turbine 3 at 3:39 am on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
During the inauguration ceremony, President Tinubu will also commission the 188-MW thermal plant in conjunction with Aba Power Ltd, which will distribute electricity from the new plant to nine out of the 17 local government areas in Abia State.
The 181-megawatt Geometric Power plant, located in the Osisioma Industrial Layout of Aba, Abia State.
Recognized as the largest investment in the Southeast region, Geometric Power has invested approximately $800 million in its comprehensive power project, including the construction of a 27-kilometre natural gas pipeline from Owaza in Ukwa West LGA, Abia State, to the plant’s location at the Osisioma Industrial Layout in Aba.
